join me on a fall getaway at OQ farm, when the leaves are changing, there are alpacas & sheep to be fed (yes! we get to feed them!), your meals are catered by a local, professional chef and enjoy a day at the vermont sheep & wool festival—traveling less than an hour from the farm in a luxurious charter with enough space for you and your knitting to have their own seat. Local artist Michelle hough will be teaching a workshop on beaded sculpture and our chef will be giving a farm to table presentation. local artist sarah maxell crosby will be teaching as well, her workshop is a collagraph printing workshop which is a type of relief printing where we will each make a collage on cardboard with a variety of materials such as yarn and lace to create interesting patterns, then put paint or ink on it to make a print. i’m thinking I’ll be digging through my swatch basket to bring some with me to practice1 of course, there will also be a couple ko classes. Finally, the retreat patterns will all feature dyers that you can find at the festival. click any of the links below to learn more.

Almost everything! You’ll be responsible for any alcohol purchases as well as your lunch each day. However, fridges will be stocked with lots of snacks and there are sure to be leftovers from previous meals! All events are included in your registration fee including the VT Sheep & Wool Festival and all artisan workshops.

If you’re flying in, there are several airports to consider. Rutland, VT & Lebanon, NH are similar in distance (45 min-ish driving). Burlington VT is further (1 hour 30 min). If you’re driving, you’re heading to Bridgewater VT!

Nope! And, you don’t have to decide ahead of time, either. If you wake up one morning feeling like you just want to be by yourself, I support that! If you need a morning or afternoon to yourself, I support that! Basically, I will cover all fees for all events and if you’re not into it at the time-of, it’s all good. You do you. My retreat goals are that my guests get to have a relaxing experience with opportunities for workshops and events but there is zero pressure for attendance.

Check-in is at 1pm and dinner that evening is included. There are no scheduled activities (other than dinner) on 10.3, so that you can settle in and get cozy. Not to mention, not stress if your flight gets delayed! We will have a meet & greet once everyone arrives.
